A Common Life: 4 Sets of Twins, 4 Faiths!

After delivering an incredible 125 sets of twins in 2012, Friends of Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya delivered 4 sets of twins in just 24 hours this past January. What makes this story even more amazing is that these twins were delivered to parents of 4 different faiths—Jewish, Arab Christian, Muslim and Druze, a reflection of the population of Northern Israel. The hospital, which started as a simple birthing center in 1946, sits on the frontlines of a major regional conflict, just 6 miles from the Lebanese border. What an amazing place to bear witness to this miracle of life!

Yet another confirmation that yes, Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people, but it is also a multicultural state that supports and recognizes all faiths and ethnicities.

It's incredible, yet sad to realize, that this is the only place in the Middle East where something like this could happen.

Yes, not only is Israel unique in the Middle East for this but also the head of the hospital who we see in the video, Dr. Barhoum, is a proud Israeli Arab Christian who embodies the Israeli spirit and get it done attitude.
