Tel Aviv Culinary - A Savory Mix of Everything
More than 300,000 hungry people descended upon Tel Aviv last year for the annual four-day Taam Ha’ir (Taste of the City) food festival. The festival, which visits cities around Israel, returned to Tel Aviv with Ugandan cuisine, Spanish paella, fresh seafood and more. But food festivals aren’t the only time you’ll find great international cuisine in Tel Aviv. The city is also home to hundreds of sushi restaurants – only New York and Tokyo have more sushi restaurants per capita. You’ll find everything from rolls bursting with exotic flavors and ingredients to the most traditional Japanese sushi. As one restaurateur put it, you can find alittle bit of everything in some rolls, they’re all mixed up, just like Tel Aviv!
