Tel Aviv – World’s #1 Gay City

Tel Aviv didn’t just place first in a survey sponsored by American Airlines and GayCities.com to find the most popular destination for gay travellers. It crushed the competition, landing a staggering 43% of the vote, way ahead of runner-up New York's 14% and third-place Toronto with 7%. Tel Aviv was described as “the gay capital of the Middle East…with a Mediterranean c'est la vie attitude.” Tel Aviv’s mayor couldn't be prouder, saying “This is a free city in which everyone can feel proud, and be proud of who they are.”
